This may seem like a dumb question but I will be installing a turbo on my integra in the upcomeing weeks and part of the install will be an oil cooler, possibly a catch can but not sure if this is needed or not. Im just wonder how much extra oil will be needed for the whole system including the turbo and everything? I dont want to over flow my engine and on the flip side i dont want to not have enough oil in and burn something up.

Let the car run to fill everything up, then just top it off at the dipstick like you normally would.

Just top it off, let it run for a little while to run through all the lines and everything, then top it off again. Should be fine after that.

so i was told that ebay turbos can last a while if they are broken in properly. I assume this means when you install and get it set up you drive carefully with low boost for a while. anyone able to tell me how many miles is a good amount to break in a turbo before setting it up to the boost levels you want. im thinking 8-10psi will be the goal when its broken in.

Don't get your hopes up that an eBay turbo will last long, because you get exactly what you pay for. If everyone could just "break it in right" and it would be just as good as others, well then everybody would own an eBay turbo.

The general consensus from what I've read is anywhere from 250-500 miles to be completely broken in. But it generally doesn't matter once the oil gets flowing. I've also heard of putting oil in the lines when you attach them, so it's not completely dry right off. Then just let it idle for a little bit to get the oil in it.

ok cool, yeah i dont expect it to go for 10s of thousands of miles but im getting it from a friend for a low price so its not a huge investment quite yet.

Take car of it and it will. When you put money into a car it should go for hundreds of thousands. :D
