how much can my Acura tow?

i want to tow a go cart that weights 507 lbs but i dont know if my car can tow that on a small uhal trailer. what is the most my car is capable of towing?

Your car can tow the 5'x9 utility ramp trailer. It's empty weight is 1240lbs. Max load is 1310lbs.

That don't mean his car can tow it without tearing up the tranny though. That's a lot of weight empty for a 4 banger sports car to tow. I'm not saying it wot I'm just saying bw careful. maybe take it to a good shop or dealership and get a second opinion.

well my owners manual said it could tow up to 1000 pounds but i might be over the weight if i get the smallest uhaul trailer which i think is 600 empty pounds and a 506 pound go cart but i just dont want to mess up the tranny. click my avatar pic and under album so you'll know if i should even take that chance.

Just rent a small Uhaul for the day. Or even one of the Home Depot trucks for a day. Its too close to the limit for a teg, and your going to be putting alot of stress on it. Not to mention actually driving on the road with that load is going to be a bitch in a teg.

seriously dude if u add even 600 lbs the power to weight ratio is gonna be a bitch. it'll take like 25 secs to get to 40mph lol just rent a truck for a day or something lol

Hate to tell you, but uhaul database goes by the manufactures reccomendation.

Pulling a 600lb trailer is NOT hard to do. My pitbike can pull a 300lb quad with no prolem!

It's not like you're putting 600lbs IN your car, you're PULLING 600lbs


I had someone return a 5x8 trailer towed behind a geo metro. Came from IL to NJ!

I've seen a GE8 tow one of those small Uhaul cargo trailers with no problem. And a stock GE8 only has around 75lbs-ft. of torque.

i probably wouldnt haul anything more then the groceries in my trunk, but with that bien said, back wen i raced motocross and i had to get out the the track, my buddy used his honda civic and towed out 3 full size bikes including trailer, so that would wiegh about 850 almost 900 pounds an it pulled it like a champ! so id say ur safe

It's more about tongue weight than the weght of the trailer!

Thaw what people misunderstand when it comes to towing

i wouldnt tow any significant weight... if the factory manual says 1000lbs then dont tow more than 1000 lbs. with this being said... this is the very reason i got my taco.
