i was looking at a 2000 SI wit the stock motor wit a friend an i notice when the car was on it sounded like it needed a valve adjustment, we drove it an it never hit vtec, "the dude said its cause of a bad ground,... hahaha B/S. but it all looked good to me "the wireing did"... so afer that we took off tha valve cover its was missing 3 of the lockin nuts for the valves...

we looked at the sparkplugs an caked with oil... fyi

we seen 2 of the nuts were on top of the valve train... im guessing 1 is hiding in the head... or wuz never put on as if he was doin his own work slopy...

but with the 3 nuts missing will that affect the vtec is my question?

"an oh yea, we passed that car, it had to been beat to hell"

that sounds really bad.... lol

idk if it'd affect vtec working or not, but the fact that one nut is just kinda roaming around in the head and that there's oil all over makes me think there MIGHT be a problem with that motor... lol

IM motorvated
maybe its throwing a code because thats why its not hitting vtec..its prolly a sensor gone bad somewhere maybe vtec pressure switch or coolant temp sensor
