how do i check for oil leaks?????

i emptied out all my oil but throughout the engine there has been spills of oil all over but i cannot locate where the leak should be any suggestions?

NO do not put a double gasket on the filter, he is asking you if you did that... If you put a gasket on the oil besides the one provided you will be sorry. YOu check for oil leaks by lifting the car up in the air, and cleaning the WHOLE engine under neath by cleaning with engine degreaser and water... then you let it dry. Its better to leave the car on while doing this an avoid hitting your air cleaner and belt assy. When its all pretty much clean underneath let it run unltil you see oil dripping... Easy
