How can I fix my shift boot!!

before i change my knob my shift boot was broken and so it keep on sliding down and it wouldnt stay up.
I would like to know if there are ways of fixing the shift boot? if not then i will have to buy a new one.

your gonna need one of those nuts that are made for it to hold it up...i dont even like mine being stuck up there the whole time, i let it slide a bit, but I think rich has those rings for the boot itself...at least he was talking about getting them a while back...

You can't get them from Acura or Honda. They will only sell the while boot.

Vouch for Rich's work. I have his shift boot and his arm rest cover. Both look great.

I put the red stitched type-R boot in mine and its great. You should do the same. JK, do what you want. But i hear that if you add a type-R shift boot that in some integras itll actually give you the power of a type-R motor.. Mine hasnt done that exactly, but I definately feel better vtec engagement since install!!!!!!!

Well the shift boot has its own built in variable valve timing. So whenever you shift with the boot on its instant V TAK BITCHES!

Take the knob off.
Take the boot off (requires taking the center console out).
Put a ziptie on the shifter.
Reverse order for re-install.

The ziptie will catch the ring of the shift boot, and keep it from sliding down. It will be under the boot, so you will not be able to see it.
