hey everybody,
i just did a compression test on my motor. i expected the worst, and thats what i got. its an 00 gsr with only 80k miles. results: 210, 150, 180, 180. so yeah.. fail. i'm not too happy. awhile back i mis-shifted from top of 3rd to second, and knew i must have bent a valve. so i'm thinking i may have bent a valve in cylinder 2. i've noticed a tick, not injector tick.. but a different tick. but its not a loud, horrendous tick. local tuners couldnt say if it was injector tick or valves. after that, i got my valves adjusted at honda. back in spec, till ticking. so i'm thinking i may have a bent valve.
given the info above, do you all think if i replace the valves i'll be fine? any and all input into this situation would be helpful. i had a horrible day, worked a 12 hour shift, girlfriend's been gone for a month, and i'm flat broke. i'm not a happy camper but hey... bumps in the road huh?
