there are a few different ZC's, and only one will work in the g1 tegs, though i'm not sure which one right off. since your teg is 89, it has electronic advance instead of vacuum, and the wiring plug on the dizzy, cam shaft pos sensor are different, along with the whole head. idk if the ZC's are vacuum or electro, but either way i believe there is a way to wire in the dizzy and CSPS. this is a great site to learn from man, welcome, and good luck on your build

i just done some research, and the black top ZC will fit into your 89 teg. it is an 88-89 integra ZC. the motor mounts are the same, but there are some wiring issues. the main changes that need to be performed are the vehicle speed sensor and the electrical load detector. google 89 integra ZC swap and check out some of the forums and threads that pull up. there surly will be something somewhere explaining about the wiring differences. i've heard about a manual, but i've not seen one yet, that u can get at an autozone that explains about different swaps in honda's and acura's. it explains what swaps can and cant be done, changes/mods that must be done, what hp/torque will be added, lost. and thats a good thing u are doing for your brother man, i'm sure he'll greatly appreciate it. oh, and check out alot of the forums on this site, there are some threads on ZC swaps, i've seen some of them, but i honestly can tell u where to look for them at, lol. good luck man
