i have a 2000 gsr..i bought a dc sprt header and high flow cat...i know the first 02 sensor reads the exhaust going in and the second checks the cat...if the cat is straight threw is the rear sensor going to throw a code because the cat is no longer filtering the exhaust...if so is there something i can do with the back sensor to keep from having a check engine light or performance issues...thanks

Umm...The cat still filters the exhaust, that's the whole purpose of the cat. Just because it's a high flow doesn't mean it doesn't do what it's intended to do.

It depends on the cat. Some cheap, crappy (EBAY) high flow cats will not function well enough and will cause the o2 sensor to throw a code. If it is a decent brand cat (carsound, random technology...etc.) then there won't be a problem.

There is ways to keep it off though. O2 simulators or just by using spark plug adaptors to back the o2 sensor out of the middle of the exhaust stream to keep the readings down.

carsound and random tech have a good reputation.. Beware of ebay cats, most shiet is made in hong kong not meant to last long..

From what you're asking, I recommend getting some ITR cams. Gives you a bit more power without having to do any major modification.

No it will be fine with the stock ones. It's not going to hurt to upgrade them but you could get away with out doing it.
