hid ? please help

hey when i bought my gsr the guy said it has an hid conversion kit in it. he said i just need to buy bulbs does this sound right to you guys. b/c i have regualr headlights now. how could i tell if i have the hid kit in thier i dont want to spend the money on he bulbs then learn that i dont have the kit you know? so any answers would b appretiated

how the HID bulbs look like

HID bulbs are skinny and cylindrical. The bulbs look like a glass pipe that's been cut off at the tip, there's also another rod that's parallel to the glass pipe it runs a wire or some sort through the glass pipe. You should check if there's a ballast. A ballast is kind of like a mini amp for your HID bulbs. I wouldn't suggest buying bulbs for HID's because they run up to 100 bucks minimum. 3rd gens run on H4 bulbs regularly. So if you want to check just pull out the bulb from the socket and check the code on the bulb..as easy as that.
