HID brights INOP

When i bought this car the brights do not work. If i plug in bulbs the brights are always on, is there anything they could have done wrong?

Im lost here, are they HID's? We need more info. Are you sure its the highbeam and not the low? Is it the inner light or the outer that are giving you an issue? What year is the car? Sounds like the wiring has been played with, and if so your screwed trying to get the problem solved over the net. Someone who knows how to decipher someone elses wiring mess needs to actually be there to look at the car.

im not seeing how your "brights" would be on...

Sounds like a wiring problem, or you have your brights clicked on?

Ok sorry i was in rush to get back from lunch. But its the inner lights. Whenever i plug a bulb in they light up regaurdless if i click the brights switch. Just didnt know if anyone had a quick fix off the top of there head.

some people wire their highs to be running lights..which is ghey but if this is the case you're going to need to re do it all.

Do you have a plug-n-play HID kit for your lowbeams? It sounds like the previous owner did a bad job of wiring it up, and messed up the high beam wiring. You may have to look at the wiring harness to see if it has been tampered with and trace the wires back.
