hesitation during acceleration

hey everybody,

i have a 00 gsr with 90k miles on it. but i've noticed something weird.. when the car is warmed up, or during a long city drive, i notice that acceleration is NOT smooth at all.. it hesitates and sometimes feels powerless. especially when a/c is on. now i know a/c affects it, but i really dont think my car should be struggling this bad to get up to speed. for example, when i haul ass from a stop light, i'd be full throttle and at certain rpm's it feels as if theres flat spots in the power. i dont know if you all get what i'm saying though, hehe. thats my best explanation.

in a nutshell, acceleration isn't smooth when the get gets warmed up. has anybody experienced this before? and if so, how did you remedy the problem?

How long has it been since you first replaced your spark plugs and plug wires? This is what first comes to my mind when thinking about hesitation. Does the car pull up any cels?

no cel's.. i actually need to do plugs and wires. i've replaced the plugs with oem, wires with shitty ones. maybe its the wires.. but i'm just hoping its not an intermittent distributor/coil problem...

I would try some ngk plugs, and new wires. Or atleast pull the plug and see how it looks. That gives you a starting point. If its not that then you have to star digging deeper. Its always good to replace plugs and wires periodically anyways.

Is there any modifications to the car?

no mods to the car, its just a stock gsr.

I would also think about replace your fuel filter, cap/rotor, and maybe your ignition coil.
