I heard Ls vtec isn't that reliable.

ive had a few friends who've gone ls/vtec but it always ends up in their car over heating or they gotta replace parts every while. but then again who knows they proabably didnt do it correct

Well you could take the easy route and just build up the motor that you have now.

thats what i intended on doing first but i did research on the 92 b18a1 and lots of ppl say the head has a harder time breathing in air, but what i figured was that if i put a good cold air intake, skunk2 intake manny and upgrade the valve train that all that would do the trick????

idk man. I would just say stick with what you got. I mean what happens when you buy the new engine and something is wrong with it.

um if u go ls vtec go with the b16 head and make sure u get the golden eagle lsvtec conversion kit and run the type r water pump and u wont have the overheating problem. if u build lsvtec right it should last awhile. i know a guy who has 5 yrs on his lsvtec with no problems. But if it was me i would just build the ls and run boost through nice turbo set up with forged low compression internals
