ok about four years ago i bought two garrett to4b25 turbos for like $600. i have already sold one for 350 so i made a profit off of it but i still have one and im looking into building up a gsr bottom end for turbo. this turbo i have is a 60 trim but the turbin side A/R is 1.15 which i know is way to big for use on a 1.8L it would take forever to spool. can i change out the tubin side housing for something smaller or should i try to sell it to some idiot like i was that just wants a turbo or can i make this one work. if i should just get a new one what size do you guys think would be good. at first i was saying i was shooting for 350-400 hp but since this is my first turbo build im gonna say more like 200-250 whp but i want to build the bottom end up enough that it could handle the 350-400 hp numbers that way if later i decide to upgrade, the bottom end will be strong enough to handle it. this will be a street car so it needs to be reliable. any suggestions for turbo size and what to do with the bottom end will be aprriciated. also please dont talk me down on this i want good honest oppinions on this no bs or trash talking. thanks for the help.

Sell it!!! that turbo is way too big, that would work on a v8 or somethin. my advice it to get a t3/t04E 60 trim .63ar lots of highend power and the use of external waste gate. it also take little time to spool, boost around 3k and is perfect for a gsr. with a good tune you could get 250+whp on stock internals. im a little parcial to that particular turbo, so some one may have better advice for you.
