Help with motor swap

Up to you. A lot of people rebuild their LS and add a B16 (or another VTEC type) of head and make an LS/VTEC. They are pretty quick. You can get higher compression pistons (if you are keeping it N/A), and have a lot of fun with it.
Watch a lot of youtube videos and see what other people did. If you get a B18C engine and slap it in there, sure it will be easy but you already have a motor so why get a full new one (unless you are taking parts and building your current).
It's really up to you what you want to do. Whatever you do, don't forget to take pictures and make a build thread!!

this^To fully utilize the LS/VTEC, you need tp upgrade the rod bolts, which requires pulling the block out.
hes asking about replacing or REbuilding, not building. he could do ls/vtec but it requres more than just a b16 head to function properly/to its full potential. the ls internals cant handle the rpms that a b16 head can, so it you would still be limited by the block, if he were to upgrade the internals then he could push it alittle further, but for it i woudl recomend forged high comp. pistons, forged/shot peened rods, all arp studs/rods, a block guard, and a bore n sleeve.
OP: i would get a new ls, they are cheap and it would be more expensive to rebuild it, you can get a good low milage or pre-rebuilt one for around 1-2k

To tam4511 eventually I would like to run a 300hp motor I know with the ls I'd gave to redo the internals
but I didn't know what the block would hold to if I can get a b17 or b18 n just cam things up n add alittle in a new good motor hell even better. My car has been outta commission for a few years so the car itself will get compltetly redone as of now I have a complete car that needs work to be on the road not much but some so I'd rather just build MY car. I just want a quick ass everday car that's y I was thinkin a gsr motor with some mods.
