help with front lip!

My ITR replica lip is at the paint shop right now along with the stock GS-R side skirts. I know that alot of guys are using weather stripping to keep the front lip from damaging the existing paint on the bumper but I'm not sure which is the right kind to get. I went to Auto Zone today and picked up some camper shell weather striping. It was the thinnest width I could find and is rubber not foam.

Its basically supposed to go between the ITR lip and your bumper to prevent the front bumper from getting all scratched up if your lip scrapes on a dip or speed bump, moving upward, which would create scratches in the bumper from the friction

It's hard to see on this black Scion Tc but i circled it in red. See how there's something rubber looking between the lip and the stock bumper? That's what I'm talking about.

Ah, I I remember seeing that on the ITR rear valences. I honestly have no idea, I'm sure any form of weather stripping with a 45* would work fine though.
