help w/ putting together turbo setup

so basically i need help putting together a nice turbo set up. i dont really have any idea what to get where everything will work well together. what im looking for out of this are as follows...

-will be used on basically a stock motor (as i build another motor over the next year or two)
-want to run about 7psi. no more then 10 for sure.
-want to keep AC and any other "luxuries"
-prefer not to mod the fan or radiator
-want the turbo so spool up quickly but not too soon (approx 3000rpm or so to save gas cause its DD)
-used on DD so must be reliable

those are basically what im looking for. when finished building the other motor which probably will be a long time from now...i would like to be able to safely run around 15psi and make a minimum of 300hp at the wheels which should be fairly simple with that amount of boost.

now i suppose my question is... what all should i use? i would prefer to know specifics. so all you turbo know it alls please help me out

Spoolin Log manifold!!!! What size exhaust do you plan on running? If I was you I would start studying. I spent many nights writing down setups and dyno numbers. My shit is planned 100% in full detail.

well you defnitely want a t3/t4 turbo, or smaller maybe a 16g or something along those lines. also you gotta think head for the future, with your built motor, so id say make sure you have clerance for 3-4" downpipe and a tubular manifold will yield higher numbers than a log style, so maybe a quick-4 a/c compatible manifold would do the trick. as far as injectors prolly 330-450 will hold you for now and as ominous said plan plan and planits what yields good results

yeah im slowly trying to plan. have been for a while. im not really up to par on my turbo knowledge i suppose. but i would be much more satisfied putting one together myself than to just buying a kit. and as far as exhaust goes... i will probably be running 2.5 at least. maybe 3 inch if i feel that i will truely need it. i know it will help the turbo spool quicker but i dont know that i will be making enough power to really need that big. im not trying to build a 600hp car.

well honestly right now im still trying to figure out the parts i need. i went onto the spoolin performance website and i think i have decided to get the log manifold they have on there for $300. other than that i have been offered an intercooler for like $25 which is going to need brackets welded on. but for that cheap i might as well get it and try to fit it on. as far as tuning i was probably gonna use chrom only cause i know someone familiar with it and said it was inexpensive and still really good.

but mostly i just need to know what to buy. i dont want to buy a bunch of parts that dont work well together

stay away from log manifolds, the runners are too short and cause back pressure, look into full race, u have a gsr motor right? then 300whp is a piece of cake for u.

full race is expensiver but they are best around...the qauilty of their products is great. so get a great kit, run it safely on ur motor when ur new motor is in, swap it over.

like i said on the other thread, daily driving is piece of cake, switch to low boost
