help me pls bout amps

Hey, i just got :Kicker CVR10D4 Car Audio COMP CVR 10" Round Subwooofer
for a good deal. But i need to get an amp that will make it sound decent or fairly well. any ideas that are not that expensive?

thats a dual 4ohm sub right? i believe it is and it takes 400rms. so you need to find an amp that provides around 400 watts @ 2ohms rms. more or less is ok, but its better to overpower than underpower. i cant point you to an amp until i know your budget. expensive to me might be a lot higher than expensive to you.

yes its 400 rms.... expensive for an amp would be like $300

just make sure that you wire everything up to match ohms or else it'll blow

You don't need to find an amp that puts out the same RMS wattage that a sub can handle, it can be more or less. Just wanted to clear that up.

Or you could fry the amp.

oh alright thanks... but i would need a 2 channel right? im looking to spend like ~150 max

its better to overpower and amp than under. and no you would not need a 2 channel. a monoblock is fine, actually recommended since most are a class d; just make sure its 2ohm stable. i would check these out:
