Help Help Ignition Problem

My '95 Integra LS 1.8L recently stopped running. It will turn over but not start. I checked all the fuses. All good. I sprayed starting fluid in the intake and it will still not start. So I figured it must be the ignition. I have heard that there is a lot of problems with stock distributors. How do I confirm this is the problem? Can I change the coil first to see if this is the problem? Or am I going to have to put out 2-3 hundred for a complete distributor? This is a commuter car so I really dont want to spend a lot on after market ignition. Especially since this is an automatic. All help appreciated.

^ replacing the cap may be a good place to start... i dont think its good for fuel injected to cars to use starting fluid... i think thats for carburated cars only...

Thanks guys, I found the problem. My timing belt broke. Now I just have to see if I bent any valves in the process of figuring out what the problem was. Fun Fun Fun Not to mention the process of changing the belt.

I don't get it, wouldn't a broken timing belt be easy to spot?
