HELP hard shifts

the 94 has been shifting hard here lately?

like bangs gears,and its an automatic,doesnt do it everytime which makes me think tranny is fucking up or could just need torque converter

one of my dads friends looked/drove it and said i need new plugs and plug wires


debating wheather or not hes right

You mean like it slams real hard when it shifts? You may just need new mounts

plugs and wires has nothing to do with your tranny, regardless if it is auto or man. for an auto: check your throttle cable and see if it needs to be adjusted (not the accelerator cable), check your timing, drain and flush your transmission fluid, if these maintenance things don't work out then go on to bigger things like your gearbox (i'm not sure how that works for an auto, but its a possibility that something is wrong there), and/or your tranny.
