help!! gsr genius pplz

sorry im new but i wanna rebuild my gsr motor and put after market parts in bcuz the motor has alot of miles on it.......what are some of the parts i should definitely replace and some parts that i can replace with after market parts?? (i kno that this might be alot but i kno there are gsr geniuses out there so please brainstorm as much as u can haha)

My suggestion would be do a lot of research. You have to think, rebuilding an engine can be costly. What do you plan on doing with it? I mean, there's a hell of a lot of varibles.

decide if you wanna go naturally aspirated (all motor) or with forced induction (turbo, supercharged) first.

some things that should be replaced regardless, all gaskets, water pump, and seals. Other things should be reaplaced as well, but they differ depending on how you wanna build

They're right, you need to decide ahead of time what direction you want to go with your car, and then build the engine towards that goal.
So, what do you want to do with it?
Go NA or FI is the first desicion.
If NA:
-What's your HP goal?
-Where do you want to build power along the rpm range?
If FI:
-How high are you going to boost?

Answer these question, and we can break it down into more questions from there. Like g3teg97 said, there are so many variables....the #1 variable being, how deep are your pockets?
