heater core :( :(

me and my bf replaced my whole heater core with his from his old integra. but now its worse >_< more smoke came out from my dash after driving it for a while and then ALL the anti freeze leaked on floor of my car idk what ima do. should i just buy everything new? found some on ebay. i just cant afford another car so i gotta spend to fix my teggy. my friend bypassed it so i can still drive with out it leaking or smoking up

You didn't inspect his old header core for cracks? If you want a heater, then yes I suggest buying a new heater core.

Yeah, inspect it before you actually install it.

Buy a used OEM or a new aftermarket heater core from Ebay. I bought a new aftermarket one from RockAuto and installed according to this youtube video.

Look at it. You can also do a water test. Fill it with water, cap both ends, and check for leaks.

what happens if the line was bent? just curious.(watched the video) i know its prolly the heater core the the pipping got bent when my bf took it out of his old teggy.

Yes, because that IS the heater core. By core they mean that part.

If the metal hose barbs deform or are out of round I found if you take a long 10mm socket and tap it in there slightly it will make them perfectly round again because of the flare on the socket. Just a suggestion.

thats a good suggestion because my bf bent the mental hose while taking it our of his old integra, then it didnt wanna heat, was starting to smoke and antifreeze EVERYWHERE
