headlights

my daughters car has the h3 bulbs for headlight an they blow out all the time. I have to replace at leat once a month. is there a different kind of bulb i can get that will hold up longer? Not sure if the headlights are stock or aftermarket..

It would help if u can post a pic. Stock, aftermarket, and jdm lights all take different types iirc.
 
Sounds like an issue other than bulbs. I would go through the wiring. Sounds like something is crossed or wired in wrong.

Oh ok, pretty sure those are the right bulbs. But like Talon said, that most likely would be an issue in the wiring somewhere.

if the bulbs are imitation HID bulbs then that would explain it. For some reason (probably because most companies are capitalists) those imitation HID bulbs like to go out every 30-45 days. if the packaging states "HID" somewhere on the label but the bulb plugs in directly to the car's harness (like the stock bulbs do) then they most definitely aren't HID's, and like 98gsrDC2 said; real HID bulbs need a ballast to work.
