headlight mod

i have a DA9 the headlights on the car are very good however is there away i can mod the low beams and fog lights to stay on when i flip to highbeams? ive seen kits for other cars that will allow the low beams to stay on when you turn the high beams on but i cant find it for mine. anyone know how this could be done?

Should be able to do it with a diode run from the trigger for the high-beam relay to the trigger for the low beam relay. Likewise for the fogs.

call me stupid but your saying running a diode from the trigger on the steering column? or on the headlights?

Hold on, I'll dig up a writeup. GM truck guys do this all the time, but it will work with any car with relay-driven lights.

so you will be connecting pins 85 on all three relays. If you can't find the relays or they are too far apart, there is another fix that's slightly more complicated.

When you re-wire the fog lights like so, They will run independently on that switch... You can use them as DRL's, Run them with the headlights on and with the high beams on. It's your choice when you want them on or off by pressing the fog light button.

Worked like a charm and here's the end result at night. I have yellow fog capsules though. The mod I linked above let's me have my High beams and fogs on at the same time or just have the fogs on by themselves. On a DA, you can't have the low and high beams on at the same time because it's one bulb that is the high and low. It's called a dual filament bulb.

When I had my DA I re wired the fogs so I could have them on with out the headlights. I just followed a write up I found on g2ic.com
