Headlight Adjustment

So after installing my HIds i noticed that my passenger side headlight shines about a fott and a half more than my drivers side one so i want to know how to adjust them correctly vertically and horizantly so they can give maximum output without messing them up like having them point to low or too high or too narrow. So does naybody have experience doing this so you can help me out and give me some tips ? let me know guys.
