Well I am really stuck on what to do.. I brought my car to a shop and its one of my dads friends but i think this guy has no idea what he is talking about i dont think he even looked a tthe car and i think my dad just doesnt want me having this car.. They guy susposobly told my dad that its gonna be a few thousand to repair my car and all i need is a new head gasket and i guess a new ebrake line First off a new ebrake cable will not even be close to that much money and a head gasket should be around 500.. So From here what should i do.. I no my head is not warped due to the fact the car has not ever over heated and still doesnt it runs fine and starts up fine everytime and doesnt shut off.. I really am desperate for a car.. What should i do.. Is it even worth me trying to do it? I found a guy who said he would do it for 500 for new timing belt water pump and new head gasket and an extra hundred for the head to be fixed but he said most likley there is no problem with the head.. How hard really is it to do this.. I thought i just had to dissconnect everything from the block. Take the head replace the bolts and the head gasket and put everything back together but im reading and it seems alot more complicated.. Do i have to replace the belt and water pump? If i were to do this what are some other misc.. Stuff i should replace so this car wont break down in the near future.. PLease help im looking for any sorts of help even a car anything please.. thanks alot.

first off do you have water in your oil, if so its going to be alot more work, if any water gets in those bearings your going spin a bearing real fast. if its just going into the cylinders and burning off i would replace the head gasket, valve cover kit gasket, new timing belt, water pump, arp head studs, and get the head resurfaced. you might want to check the block too and make sure it dosent need to be decked. cleaned both surfaces very well. but if there is water in the oil then you have to pull the pistons, rods, crank, and replace your main, and rod bearings and then rings too... How would i know if there is water in the oil? And thats alot of work it seems like.. Im probly gonna just have to sell it for like 600 bucks and ill just take it as a loss and buy another car and learn from my mistakes until i have the right tools and education to fix my cars.

nothing from nowhere
your oil will look like coffee with creamer and lumpy.

Yea but i also heard that could be the coolant leaking.. And it had a milky substance on top of the oil cap but now the oil just seems drippy.. The car is in like amazing condition in the interior all if only this would be fixed would be great..How long can i drive the car like this for?
