hard to shift....

i just installed a new shift rod on my 96 integra and trying to shift from gear to gear is really tough.. i have to use alot of force to move the shift around.. when i installed the rod it was really close to the other shift bar ... could it be a possibility that the bars are rubbing causing this to be hard...??
please give me some help

you probley thighten the bolt that holdes your the linkage to your shifter..ive done that and all i did was lossen it JUST A BIT!!! or it could be the linkage that you got was warped:shock:

did you install all those washers back when you reinstalled it?

Loosen the bolt mentioned above. You just tightened it too much

Yeah, stabilizer bar, I like mine real tyght, get some good ole' Synchromesh and it should make it a lil better, had mine fall out on the way to a meet, couldn't shift at all, no fun.
