HARD build-up on oil ring land??

best way to get rid of it?? without buying new pistons.. im trying this soaking method of a mixture of different degreasers. but doesnt help much. im scared if i pick at it ill damage the land. any ideas?

My machine shop hot tanked my pistons cause they were resizing the rods for me. :)

buy a couple cans of gasket remover and watch them work their magic. That stuff is strong, just keep it away from your hands.
