LOL so ok i have a friend who thinks their STOCK vr6 GTI vw can beat a 98' spec Type r.......this was a long fight and its still going on. Tell me a story where you proved some Honda/Acura hater wrong :thumbs up
its an older GTI and he wants to race my friend who has a 92 civic with a ls/vtec swap in it head work and bigger injectors and pistons cause he thinks he can beat any honda. we shall see  muwahahaha!I think most of us here on this forum can adhere that this has happened to us one time or another. I myself would get thrown into situations where my co-workers would challenge me with my car. The only thing you can do is stand your ground with only the facts. So in other words...If someone tells you that they're GTI vR6 would smoke your Integra...the best response is "Show me". Talk is cheap in the racing game so if all he is offering is talk then he will probably shutup once you call him out However, make sure you know what your up against. You of all people (owning an Acura) that looks can be deceiving. I have owned a GTI and it was pretty damn quick for a stock car. I'm not sure what your running under your hood, but I would do my homework. In the end...racing will put an end to any arguement.
They are actually pretty close in terms of straight line acceleration. Both run mid 6 seconds to 60 and high 14 to 15 in the 1/4 mile. A crappy driver in a Type R could be out driven by a GTI VR6 in a drag race. On a twisty road it doesn't stand a chance though.LOL so ok i have a friend who thinks their STOCK vr6 GTI vw can beat a 98' spec Type r.......this was a long fight and its still going on.
