if its closed deck i wouldnt worrie to much about the sleeved but melting a piston lol
you must not know what material h22 sleeves are. eeek
It's complicated, but the essence of it is the inner portion of the sleeve is cast using aluminum & fiber like material, which allows the sleeves to be as strong as a standard iron ductile counterpart while reducing heat & increasing heat diffusion capabilities. Of course, this means that by replacing the stock cast pistons with forged aluminum ones, clearances increase, thermal expansion increases, and aluminum on aluminum contact is the result (piston slap). Aluminum has a hard time getting friendly when sliding on aluminum, and will most likely cause significant cylinder scoring - basically trashing your engine in short order.
