H22 swapped 3g's?

there any h22 swapped 3g's around here?ive got a gsr now,but wondering how much of a dif was noticed from other people.looking to build and boost a motor and thinking h22 over gsr,lets hear your thoughts and opinions

from what i hear it makes the car real nose heavy and not a great handler but a beast on straight line speed

from researching,ive seen numbers ranging from 60-100 lbs difference in motor weight from gsr to h22,so i think a good suspension setup could revive that......but im going more for straight line over auto x at this time.....

if goin straights your goal then an h22 isnt a bad idea at all a kid in my area is rumored to have one with a supercharger wont ever pop the hood but his car goes faster then a greased up pig at a cookout

i was never a big fan for the H series all though i know someone with the jdm h22 in there car and it does move and handling does suck but with better suspension like you said you could get it back hopefully

why do you say that?bc of weight?bc of revving?

Because of weight but shouldnt be a big issue especially if youre going straight, seen a couple of eg hatches with the swap and no conplaints from the owners just smiles, good suspention set up should solve any of them problems easily

OK I am building a H22 for my 95 gsr and the wieght is 165 more then a gsr. I am punching mine out to 2.4 and going turbo so the extra few pounds don't matter. It is being built at the Whip Factory In IL and I am looking for 500 plus horse power. If you are looking for a dailey driver all motor with bolt ons you can get low low 14's high 13's easy. So good luck with what ever you do.

where did you originate those weight numbers from?bc ive heard as little as 65lbs

maybe some weight # are with tranny, or filled with oil and coolant.. many factors.
