gsr wont rev over 3500 rpm?

i have an ls, did a gsr swap, and its not revving up over 3500rpm whaTS THE PROBLEM

possible 2step issue? test drove a boosted gsr a while back and his wouldnt rev past 4k because of the 2step..

or your car could be in limp mode.

oh, people keep tellin me, its your tps sensor, but im not that smart about this lol, if it is in limp mode, how do i fix that? ithe gsr was in my friends car 3 days ago, working perfectly fine, i bought his complete swap and put it in my 94 ls that used to have an ls in it, the car is also originally automatic so yea, if thats helps.

what ecu are you using?
i hope a p72, or atleast a chipped ecu tuned for?
do you have a CEL?

im using a stock gsr ecu, no tune or anything, came straight off his car with his motor

Did u swap in a manual tranny along wit the GSR motoe? If the automatic is still in there wouldnt you have to have the computer programmed to the automatic tranny?

Check engine lite on? mine came on when i couldnt rev past 5k and the code pointed at the vtec solenoid.
