Hey eveyone I have 95 gsr and resontly the gsr motor blew cuz the guy before me turboed and it didn't do it right and had it boosting 15 psi on all stock so I got a 2000 ls motor for free out of my girlfriend car that was crashed from behind and I have the the motor in I'm useing the ecu and harness form the ls and I had to use a jumper harness to plug in the ecu for the ls and I've checked almost everything and I can't figger out y it dosnt have any spark but the car starts and runs with the the gsr ecu but it won't go past 4000 rpms so if anyone has any answer or ideas to this it would be great

You say youre using the harness from the ls but you use a jumper harness to plug in the ecu. Im not sure that makes sense if you used the entire harness from the ls, the ls ecu should plug right in. You say the gsr ecu plugs in and works (i assume without the conversion harness) so that suggests the wiring is still obd1? You might need to detail what you did a bit more for clarity.

As for 4000 rpms, ive come across threads a few times where people mention the ecu being in safe mode. I didnt read anymore then that because i never had that problem. I would gewgle it.

O I'm sorry I forgot to be detail about the harness I used the ls harness from the motor to the fire wall and then from the fire wall to the ecu is the gsr harness but I'm trying to use the ls ecu because the gsr ecu is chiped for turbo so I got the jumper harness so I could plug in the ls ecu

Ok now someone can probably give u an answer because there might be difference in your obd1 cabin harness to the obd2 engine harness that needs work. That wiring is beyond me but at least i got the info from you!
