GSR vs GSX

Well a buddy has a 97 gsx with a few mods. He wanted to go to the interstate to make a pass. I agree of course. We get on the interstate and slow down to 45... He gives 3 honks and we are off. 2nd gear we are side by side. Hit 3 and he pulled almost a car on me. In the upper part of 3rd i started easing back up. Hit 4th and reeled him in and pass him. Hit 5th gear and he was about 2 cars back then. Let off at 130. Good run..

Nice dude, real nice. Can't underestimate some good ol fashioned VTEC power. Well, unless that VTEC power is backed by some boost itself. What do you have done to your TEGGY?

cai/h/e/afpr and a high flow cat..... adding a throttle body and type r crank pulley( no a/c, no p/s) next week to the list.

You know I heard about crank pulleys throwing a cars timing belt, the only thing is I heard it from one person and that's all.

this is a pretty old post... but just wanna share sumthing.. today i raced a gsx on the bridge.. or was it gs-t.. i dunno it was the turbo eclipse tho.... we weer at a stop light entering the bridge and he reved at me.. so im like f it lets do this.... i straight KILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLED him badly... and i was like 2-3 car lenghts ahead of him in 3rd.. then wen i was in 4th his turbo was kicking in.. but i was already going to 5th as he was catching uppp,,,, and he couldnt catch up to me and i ended up beatin him by like 2 car lengths.. eclipses SUCK and they are GIRL cars

I have raced other stock turbo dsms and have killed them with out a problem.



I am to a dsm guy. I have owned 4 turbos and one 1.8 that was converted to a 2.0 turbo. a decently modded dsm is pretty quick.
