I'm wondering on what to do wanted to get some advice from ppl I have a gsr in my da but need a new motor..

Should I order a new gsr longblock or get a b20z block and build me head and tune the shit outa the b20v??

Both blocks will be stock for now so if I did the b20v the block would be stock I was leaning tword the gsr cause of reliabuility but. Love the tourqe of the b2 and with some nice valvetrain ,cams and a tune could be nice daily fun.

Lemme kno whatca think thanks

i would get a b20b motor and a gsr head. b20's only come in non-vtech. i have a 90 da with a jdm gsr tranny and a jdm b20b motor. it has a shit load of torqe. i go from 0-60 in like 3 seconds. i just ordered a jdm b18c spec r head for my b20 motor

Wow I hope you're kidding.... 3 things wrong with this sentence, first, lulz at "vtech", second, you just said your Honda makes torque..... No.... Comparibly to any other b series, yes, but nowhere near a s*** ton. And lastly, 0-60 in 3 seconds? I call straight up bs. Post vids or ur talking out your arse

That said, b20 vtec is a great idea OP, build it right and you won't have issues with reliability, more low end torque and the high end from vtec is a great combo

Your 0-60 is closer to 7-8 seconds. Honda doesn't make torque. But you will see an increase in a b20 setup

no way you do 0-60 in 3 seconds you drive a honda not a Lamborghini dude...i have a b20 set up...its alot of fun you feel the difference compared to the other b motors...how ever if you have a gsr motor build that in the long run youd probably be able to make more power with it AND youd have VTEC

not that much with a b20. I think its a 3 foot pound difference but the torque curve is different. Thats the biggest difference between the B18B and the B20 is the torque curve. You get 3 less torque in a B18B but the torque curve gets carried higher in the rev range than a b20. A more compact torque curve makes more torque with a butt dyno.

Any motor is reliable as long as its built right.

your last time was 00.000
Realistically, his times should be better than mine running a Da. It's probably some street racer that beat a mini van last week and thinks his car is the bees knees or some shit

fuck why do i keep hitting edit only on your posts?

anyways, my buddies were running 16.0 in their DAs with a b20 with full bolt ons maybe 15.5ish at sea level with a mediocre driver

And , its funny you actually say the minivan thing cause i get plenty of people that are like that when i drive my RA1. no one wants to do that when i drive the integra but everyone and their mom does it when i drive the van

Guys guys guys. He said "like" 3 seconds.
The "like" he added allows for a ten to twenty second variation in times.

My Integra goes 0-60 in LIKE one second.
