gsr head vs b16/itr head for jrsc? which cams?

ok, i know theres alot of info out there about the gsr head vs the b16 head, but not really which head would be better (going to be rebuilt, ported, milled etc...) for a jrsc. i plan on either rebuilding/lightly beefing up a gsr longblock, or re/building a poor mans R (gsr block, b16 head etc...) for a jrsc in a dc2 gsr.

which head would be better for this application?

a rebuilt, ported gsr head....

or a rebuilt, ported b16 head?

i plan on running either itr/ctr cams with itr springs/retainers and adj cam gears, unless i can make more power with aftermarket cams...

so what would be the "best" head/cam combo for a gsr block and jrsc?

rebuilt ported cammed gsr head or rebult ported cammed b16 head?

which cams would you use? stock gsr, itr, ctr, a combo of these? or some aftermarket cams?

also, would there be any benefit with going with .5mm larger valves and a 5angle valvejob?

so basically its pointless trying to find the "best" head?

i was just curious if one head cast design was "better" for a jrsc than the other head cast design.

so either head will work fine for up up to (probably wont reach this hp goal, but u get the idea) 300hp b18 jrsc?

which cams would you use for jrsc with 11:1-11.5:1 compression b18c block? stock gsr? itr? ctr? a combo of these cams? or are there any aftermarket cams good for a jrsc setup?

thats kinda high compression for boost... i'd look into a stock gsr block, or use LS pistons.

a gsr with itr cams would probably run pretty good with the jrsc.

and yeah the head is meaningless if you're going to get it ported and polished. they will both end up pretty much the same.

I would go with the b16 head it has larger chambers from factory and it will lower your compression slightly, also i would us CTR cams, i believe they have a slight more aggressive intake cam over ITR

hmmmm, i guess the head will depend on which jrsc i find. i was thinking the b16/itr manifold bolt pattern jrsc would be easier to find than a gsr mani jrsc.

so your suggesting itr intake and exhaust cams? or gsr intake, itr exhaust? itr intake, gsr exhaust? gsr in and ex? or are there ANY aftermarket cams that are good with a jrsc?

ftlracing.com VERIS has put together a wealth of info on there, I'm sure most people have seen it already, this is a somewhat dated thread
I'm going back together with GSR in, ITR ex cams. From research it seems to be the best combo yet. I'll find out soon
