My friend was on clubrsx and a kid was saying that his type-s got smoked by an LS (year unknown) with a GSR engine block, I was wondering if this is possible and if so can i do this to my 94 LS. Please reply with your input and that would be greatly appreciated

Are you asking if you can put a GSR in your LS chassis? If so, then yes!

Also, you may want to try and search for general questions like this.

I think he wants to put a B18C block to his LS head. We had a thread about this once, pretty sure you will need the dowels. Then put them in the reversed. Its basically a backwards LS/Vtec. Might have to do someother little things, but I think you can pull it off.

ls/vtec and crvtec's make incredible amounts of power but there is now point to put the b18a head on a b18c1 block thats the stupids thing i've heard of............. but i think an ls/vtec would take a rsx

i think his friend meant it had a gsr head on it instead of the block

I'v herd of putting a gsr head on a ls block but not a ls head on a gsr block thas fuckin retarded

Are you guys reading the post, or just posting LS/Vtec repsonses. I could see some benfits to this, like being able to rev it higher without worrying about throwing a rod or screwing your bearings. With a set of dual valve springs it would be capable, also with different cams would make power to the higher rpms.

Where do you guys think the left over LS/Vtec parts are gonna go??

so if i swap the gs-r head onto my ls would my compression ratio go up to what the gs-r compression is? I know that i will need the head, the gs-r ecu, and that but when i get my turbo do i still get an ls turbo application? since i'm not changing any of the internals of the engine i woulndt think that the compression would change from the ls, isnt lower compression best for f/i boost?

if ur goin turbo..keep the compression low..which will allow u to boost more then the high compression VTEC's...but if ur goin all motor with ls/Vtec..then get higher compression pistons...it all depends on what u wanna do...

i was wondering if this combo would work too. if you used a gsr block and bottom end then you wouldnt have to worry about beefing it up if you got cams for the ls and wanted to be revving to 7.5k or 8k. i think this would be a great mod to an ls. just dont kno anyone that has done it yet...

agh the infamous ls/vtec, it's basically driving a type r integra w/ more torque, i'm thinking about going that route instead of going boost due to the fact of less maintenance, i've done my research on the internet and have come up with these following sites. The ls/vtec conversion itself is a simple conversion yet a very powerful conversion, i've rode in a integra with a ls/vtec and the pull is insane compared to a type r, he had it set up to where he could take it to 11k ( good tuning and a proper ecu, p28 is best to go with lsvtec ). Here are some links to ls/vtec " how to's " and etc.

11k with a b18b bottom end??? it would take more than just tuning to get your ls bottom end to rev to 11k. alot more!! did you actually see the car rev out to 11k?
