Nice group so far, I wouldn't have guessed too many on here. I wonder how many of these are even out there still with the original engine and stuff. I thought I heard there was only 2200 to start with in the US, maybe someone can verify that?

How how do I figure out what number mine is? From what I read pretty much anywhere I have read was 92 1500 USDM and 93 had 2500 USDM. There is actually less 92 and 93 gsr's left in the US then the 97 and 98 Type R's. He might of had 1700 w/e because canada had some shiped there too but I dont know the numbers.

I found where I got that I thought there was only 2200 made, there is an article about it in the July 2009 Hondatuning magazine, and their information like that gets sourced from Honda, so I don't think they would be that far off. Where did you guys see that there were such higher numbers produced?

I read on one honda forum that a guy actually used carfax and rolled through each vin number for the 92 and 93 GSRs. The highest vin number for the 92 GSR was 3120 (USA). And the highest vin number for the 93 GSR was 851 (USA). There were also GSRs in CANADA ... 602 for 92 and 256 for 93. When I bought my used 93 GSR back in 1995, the dealer said that these cars used to be in the waiting list before you could get one ... like 3-6 months pre-ordered. So whoever has the production number 1 is sitting on gold! But from what I read as well, 1 and 2 are unaccounted for. But who knows.
