GS-R vs. Type R

Does anyone know why the Type R is so much more expensive than the GS-R?
What are some of the differences? Or perhaps there is a site somewhere that has information on the differences of the different Integra trim levels.
The reason I am asking is, I'm looking to buy an Integra and I want to modify it.
Starting off with basic modifications, such as tint, rims, tires, exhaust, intake, etc. And I want to get a good trim level, but I notice that the Type R is usually $5,000 or more than the GS-R in my experience.
All input is greatly appreciated.

bottom line:

performs better than the gs-r
looks better than the gs-r
more expensive than the gs-r

but....not worth it unless you have a garage and lots of money for insurance
