I was on my way home from eating ramen noodles at a japanese place called Chopstix. As i got on the highway, i noticed a celica (00-up) coming up behind me fast. he blew passed me and i noticed the gt-s badge. i played the old chase game with him and when we finnally lined up at around 65 ish, i honked 3 times and we were off. i downed to 3rd gear and immediatle pulled about a fender, from then on i just kept walking on him all the way until i hit about 135 or so. my buddy in the car with me said i had him by about 2-3 car lengths. he had no passenger. it was a good run!

Just an FYI.....

00-01 are faster than GSR's. The rev limit changed in 02 causing them to fall out of VVTLi when shifting.

The 00-01 sprinted 0-60 in about the same time as an ITR

Yeah, VVT-i is always on. It doesn't kick like VTEC. VVTL-i is like VTEC, where it has valve lift.

Most GT-S celica's i've seen are slow as hell. My bro barely lost to one by 1 car length in his old POS 99 Altima all stock....

However, they are pretty cool machines and they're motor is awesome... VVTL-i > VTEC.... Oh no he didn't!
