What up Peoples?? I just registered on this site and I've learned a lot over the last two days. I'm the proud 2nd owner of a 1996 Integra GS-R here in Los Angeles, CA. My GS-R is completely stock and I bought her from a co-worker last year that babied it and rarely drove it... so I got super lucky on this one. It came with complete records and I'm keeping em current too. I don't have any plans to modify it but after seeing some of your rides, its really tempting!
One of the reasons I signed up is cuz my clutch went out on me yesterday so I'm looking at upgrading the clutch a little bit since my mechanic is gonna be dropping the tranny out. I did a lot of research on this site and a lot of you seem to dig the Exedy Stage 1 so thats what I ordered from Amazon today. I'm fairly new to the import tuning scene so I don't know a lot about which brands are better than others. But after digging around these are the brands that people seem to be talking about for the Integra:
Exedy, Advanced Clutch Tech, Centerforce, Competition Clutch, & Clutch Masters
Any thoughts before I do the job? I thought about getting the matching flywheel too, but I'm a daily driver and I heard that you have to start in first with a higher rev so I figured I'd skip it and just resurface the OEM flywheel. Plus, I live in LA and we sit in a lot of friggin' traffic! Although I can't complain too much... today it was like 60 degrees outside ;-)
Thanks,
Peace.
