GS-R Noob from Los Angeles

What up Peoples?? I just registered on this site and I've learned a lot over the last two days. I'm the proud 2nd owner of a 1996 Integra GS-R here in Los Angeles, CA. My GS-R is completely stock and I bought her from a co-worker last year that babied it and rarely drove it... so I got super lucky on this one. It came with complete records and I'm keeping em current too. I don't have any plans to modify it but after seeing some of your rides, its really tempting!

One of the reasons I signed up is cuz my clutch went out on me yesterday so I'm looking at upgrading the clutch a little bit since my mechanic is gonna be dropping the tranny out. I did a lot of research on this site and a lot of you seem to dig the Exedy Stage 1 so thats what I ordered from Amazon today. I'm fairly new to the import tuning scene so I don't know a lot about which brands are better than others. But after digging around these are the brands that people seem to be talking about for the Integra:

Exedy, Advanced Clutch Tech, Centerforce, Competition Clutch, & Clutch Masters

Any thoughts before I do the job? I thought about getting the matching flywheel too, but I'm a daily driver and I heard that you have to start in first with a higher rev so I figured I'd skip it and just resurface the OEM flywheel. Plus, I live in LA and we sit in a lot of friggin' traffic! Although I can't complain too much... today it was like 60 degrees outside ;-)

Thanks,

Peace.

I have owned centerforce clutches, exedy clutchs, spec clutchs, clutchmasters clutches, and currently have a competition clutch. They all work great. I really liked my spec clutch but it was definitely the stiffest, all though it was like a stage 4 so  I really like my competition clutch that I have now, it performs very well for the price. It does smell a little after hard use but that doesn't bother me.

Hahaha... Well, I'm an Electrical Engineer and I worked in IT for a while, so learning how to search was a must. Just got my Exedy Stage 1 (08800B) in the mail this morning along with the 9.45lb Flywheel (HF01). My buddy convinced me to get the flywheel so I went for it. Just a little worried about whether or not all the parts are the correct size. I called Exedy to confirm and went to my local Acura dealer and the parts girl was kind enough to print a couple pages from the computer with diagrams and such of the Clutch and Flywheel assemblies. Anyway, I hope I'm straight. Luckily I'm cool with my mechanic and he's gonna let me hang in the shop and watch how its done.

As for pics, I'll try to get those up here soon... been real busy with things lately.
