Grounding kits really work?

That car you smoked!
How much do grounding kits really work? Could I just get some 0 or 4 gauge wire and run it to the block, battery, tranny, distributor?

Google the big 3 upgrade.

Battery neg to ground
tranny to ground
engine to ground
and maybe battery to starter (with inline fuse)

You can improve your car's grounding with some custom wire, but you wont get any power gain. If your factory grounds are poor due to corroding, then you may experience a smoother idle and some brighter headlights. But that's about it.

Don't waste your money on those kits, especially the ones with the "magic box". And don't waste your money on any BS spark plug wires for that matter either. People are just trying to exploit your lack of knowledge concerning electricity.

The battery already goes directly to the starter. And you don't want to put a fuse there. It would just blow. If you use a fuse big enough not to blow, you're wasting your time because you could then touch that wire directly to ground and it will catch fire w/out ever blowing such a huge fuse.

Cranking the starter draws some huge amperage.

All Grounding Kits Do Is Help To Resolve Parasitic Drain From Bad Grounds The Factory Harness They Help Make The Cars Electrical System A Little More Stable But Dont Improve Performance As Much As Ppl Assume

I always thought it would be weird to put a fuse there, but site I read said to put one in.

What site are you a regular member on? I recognize your name from somewhere else
