So im new to the Japanese import scene and need to learn some of the jargon. Can anyone help me out? And can someone tell me exactly wtf JDM is?? lol! I read about it in a magazine one time and they confused me even more, I know its got somethin to do with it being Japan OEM type stuff? (Correct me if im wrong please). I know GM and Volkswagen/Audi/BMW jargon so I can learn fast. Lookin foward to hearin ur input. I got a 94' Integra by the way.

its a fad, a trend, a drug, a friend, a hobby. its basically anything thats produce in "JAPAN" whether its OEM or AFTERMARKET. bottom line... anything that is not produce in the USA... lol

j/k welcome. the whole "jdm" thing is pretty much a fad and a great way for people to make a grip off used parts in "fair" condition. its kind of funny actually...if you go to eBay and try to find "jdm" parts...its usually 9 pages of usdm parts marked "jdm" and maybe a handful of legit jdm parts

Aight I think I got the JDM down lol. How bout the different designations for engines and bodystyles etc etc. Like I have a 3rd gen LS i think it is. So wat would parts and stuff for that be called? Thanx for the input peoples!

B18B1 = G3 Integra LS, GS, RS engine
B18C1 = G3 Integra GSR (VTEC)
B18C5 = G3 Integra Type R (VTEC)

American Chassis codes.......
G3 Integra LS, GS, RS 2 door = DC4
G3 Integra Type R, GSR 2 door = DC2 (VTEC)
G3 Integra LS, GS, RS 4 door= DB7
G3 Integra GSR 4 door = DB8 (VTEC)

You car is a DC4 with a B18B1 if it's the original engine
