Good kit?

So im lookin at getting a turbo kit from this site! A friend of mine just bought an FMIC from the site and he loves it and said they are a good product and he could get me a discount because he is a dealer threw them now! So if anyone has anything against please let me know! :D

He also has 750hp on his Trans Am which he built and owns a shop so he knows cars well just needing to see if anyone has any info on it! :)

Against it....few reasons why

- Who makes the turbocharger? Looks very china like to me
- That manifold looks just like those of an XS brand (shitty e-bay brand that breaks)
- Total price of the kit is like 800 bucks...very cheap...about as cheap as the same ebay brands out there.
- I'm sure you friend said his intercooler worked fine but just because a no-name ic works well does that mean that a no name turbo or manifold will hold the same quality?

Trust me man to turbocharge your care RELIABLY $800 bucks for a kit is not what you want to do.

Seriously, before we have another 10 "Is this a good turbo kit?" threads, let me just tell you that you aren't going to find a quality kit for less than a couple grand..

Alright cool thanks for the info! and ya agreed about like product quality but some ricer came in with a civic a few days ago askin for a kit and were gonna put this on and see how it is and if the car explodes or not!

Why would you do that to someone's car?:roll: What's the name of your shop I'll be sure to never step foot in there and not recommend it.:p
And I doubt the engine would blow up, most likely parts of the kit would fail first.

yep when the wastegate or turbo breaks off from the manifold or the turbo shits oil all over itself we'll know it's true quality.

when it comes to things like turbo you need to make sure it is good quality. do feel bad for the test subject civiv though lol

update real quick! civic pulled 250whp not bad at all and runs great he rides it way hard and hasnt had a single problem yet!

well his exhaust pipe fell off doubt that the turbo did that though he just had a "custom piping job" done so oh well lol

my buddy had a ebay turbo kit in his tegg for the last 2 years never had a problem. It might be luck but i herd alot of okay things from some ebay kits and then bad i guess it just depends.
