i honestly dont want to spend anymore tehn a grand. 1500 at the moste
there's your problem...your car/setup won't be reliable at that price range. You can do it but you will be replacing parts and doing things over. Which equals more money spent in the long-run. Keep saving is what I say. There's no turbo kit that's worth buying for $1000.00...much less tuning.

I think your best bang for the buck would be the GReddy kit for the LS. There is definitely room for improvement on that kit, but at least it has SOME sort of fuel managment (albeit a piggyback) and it is tried and trued, bolt-on useability, 50-state legal, etc. Just look into some braided steel oil lines and have a bung welded to your oil pan instead of using their screw-in kit and you'll be good to go. It will be about double what you want to spend, but WELL worth it compared to a cheapo kit.

looks like they went up in price. they are local and during their "warehouse sale" they were selling the kits for 800. its basically a step above an ebay kit with a warranty. set aside 400 for dyno tuning (provided you have a program to tune with), plus another 100+ for things like oil, colder plugs, gauges (boost/oil at min)... a wideband would be nice, along with bigger injectors/walbro fuel pump, your exhaust might have to be cut/welded up to the dp - there is a lot of different things that add up. good luck!

A good decent turbo kit $800+labor($$$)+ other stuff necessary to make the car run like a champ=more than $1500. Save ATLEAST $2,000 so you can piece a better kit together mane.
