Getting ready for ls/vtec swap

yo guys i got a 98 ls, auto. I am getting ready to swap on a head off a 94 gsr. Ive been doing lots of research and i think i have come to the conclusion that i will need to swap out my auto trans for a 5sp because gsr's did not come with auto trans, right? Also would it be better to go with a gsr or type oil pump?

yes you should use the gsr or type-r oil pump i forgot exactly what reason something to do with ls pump not flowing enough oil when your reving it up high. i could be wrong on that But when i did my ls/vtec there was numerous threads on why to use gsr or type-r oil pump. if your gonna do it right you should buy some arp rod bolts for it too so you can rev it up and utilize that heads power ban. theres alot of things you gotta do besides just dropping a vtec head on it. just hope you've done your research.

also i think there was a gsr auto but your best bet would be to swap it out for a 5speed you would be way happier with it. youll need a 5 speed conversion mount regular 5speed mount wont work.
