gears are grinding

hey so i am driving my 96integra rs and i gun it i shift in to 2nd just befor the red line and i shift in to third at the same point (just about the red line) and kruuk the gears GRIND i have the cluch all the way in it does this only when i gun it and only from 2nd to 3rd any ideas how it fix?>

1 your syncros are probably. its really common on tegs. 2 you are probably in need of a new clutch. my car does it when i down shift from 5th to 4th at highway speeds. those are where i would start. try changing your trans fluid for GM syncromesh tranny fluid. i hear it works wonders

i would bet on syncros....seen it happen a few times before. I've tried that GM Syncromesh and yes it has made grinding gears disappear. But so does some Honda Genuine MTF Now i rock nothing but and I would suggest you try it first. A trans fluid change is pretty simple and can go a long ways.

I had the same problem when I first bought my car man, I reference over the web and found this thing called Gm Synchro-mesh. From what I understand it basically meshes your syncros back together so its like new. Any advance auto parts and ect sell them. Their normally not on the self because its for accounts there companies have so you'll have to ask a guy there to get some for you.

But after I put some of that in BAMMMM it was gone, no more grinding at any rpm shifting.

were do you add the fluid mine does it from 1st to 2nd and to 3rd!
