Gas Tank size, gauge is wrong.

Okay so my gas gauge sits on empty when i'm out about 10.5 gallons. But on here it says Integra's have a 13 gallon tank, and my friend thinks its about a 12 gallon. How do i adjust the sensor if it's wrong??

The gas light usually comes on when there is about 3 gallons left

Do you have aftermarket guages, or has the gas guage needle been removed ever? Maybe if it was it wasn't put back on in the right spot.

^ correct! and I would try pulling out the cluster unplugging that side of the cluster maybe de dusting it or something of the sort and make sure everything is still plugged in back there! other wise no idea

Most cars are set to be like that. It's to make it idiot proof because they know people will drive it till they absolutely need gas. Even when there is only 2-3 gallons in the tank, fuel is still low enough to easily cause the car to die due to fuel slosh.

It's supposed to be that way

It's not a reserve, it's just a warning light. There isn't a separate tank with 3 gallons of gas in it.

You also run the risk of sucking up any nasty deposits and residue that could have accumulated over quite a few years
