a G23 is a f23 vtec block from an accord mated with an H22 head. Its supposed to be the bang for the buck K24/k20 killer/equivalent its basically the cheap route.

i think you should be able to fit it since h22s have gone into DAs before, i would research what mounts to use but i think a H2B kit should have everything you need since the two motors (in my mind at least) are based off of one another

Ohh shit. That sounds like it's got some power and I feel like an H2B kit would work.
Theres not many of them to my knowledge because of the rigging involved with it. I belive you have to seal one of the oil lines in the head or block because either the head or the block doesnt have the same amount as the head or block. also it requires you to buy random honda parts i think like s2k pistons or something

Also to fit an H2B in a G2 you will have to get hood spacers. JDM tilt yo.

couldnt you just chalk the head for where the hood supports will hit the head and then cut those off? like with the CRX and a b18C swap?

I'm not 100% sure how close it is, so that might work.

This guy has one and his hood is looking pretty high.

This doesn't look promising either.

yeah maybe that meathod will help the tilt be smaller. But that also throws out my theory of the XSI hood being taller like the CRX SIR jdm hood is taller and is a direct fit for CRXs with B18C swaps

These motors are fucking disaster just waiting to happen. I had one of these damn things in an EG coupe and it was an absolute turd. I had the f22b1/h22 combo and hated it. In fact I traded that coupe for my current integra. They are known to have headgasket issues, you have to mix and match headstuds, you have to plug holes in the head, you can't run a stock ecu on it because Honda never designed this damn thing lol...The list continues.

Stick with a B series either boost an LS or swap out for a GSR if you just want extra power.

Haha we havent even gotten into the money it cost for an H2B, the hacking of your car you would have to do in order to go h2b, ect....bad idea from the get go. Someone came up with this motor out of pure boredom and having the parts sitting around. I have the honda-tuning magazine where the guy made something like 250whp out of one of these using OEM parts. He used k20 pistons, but he had a ton of machining work done and honestly for the same price you could boost a B and spank the shit out of a "G". The G series started becoming popular right around the time that J swaps were popping up everywhere, boredom doesn't always lead to the greatest ideas lol.
