alright im mke this short and simple because i really need a fast answer, im have a sleeved ls darton block(82mm) with a stock type r head, im running with a the victorx for my im, and still undecided on the tb, where gonna be running with a turbonectics for my 35r turbo and probally a ram horn for my manifold, long story short i will have damn near everything you need to build a good running dd honda. my question is can i leave my r head stock and still make good power(360-450whp) or do i need to rebuild the head also

You can definitely make that power. I ran a t61 on a sleeved ls with a stock head and it made over 500

 thats kick ass!

to OP i would consider going with more of a turbo cam set up though, the type r head is set for really high compression. but im no expert, i could be completely wrong

yea bro i done seen type-r cams on peoples setup running damn near 800whp at 24psi. i ran with type-r cams on a setup a few years ago and i made good ass power. and STAY AWAY FROM TURBO CAMS it millions of write ups and comparisons on turbo cams them damn things are garbage(MY OPINION) if you talk to most tuners they tell you stay away from those cams actually jeff evans and king motorsports did a comparisons with turbo cams vs all motor cams and all motor cams damn near had a 30whp difference, and one the the cams they recommend is r cams

leaving the head stock will be fine, there are countless ppl making mad power on stock heads ports

I got a t66 and seal leaks after a couple of months of occasional hard driving...i'm only boosting 14.7 psi...I forgot the website but it was created by some turbonetic fans and turbo owners...the most occuring problem they see with that brand is seal problems...turbonetics are trying to incoporate water cooling with it and testing with their turbos...they have some out and those cost too much for me...

I agree on trying a different brand...and maybe you might just tell us here something new about other brands too...who knows.

The Head is ok for the power and there is no need to port the he head, because forced induction don´t need the flow like an NA-engine. Only what you have to buy and mount is a set adjustable camgears to reduce the valveoverlapping.
