I seeing and reading about both of these for use on my turbo setup...

correct me if im wrong, but i understand that if i use the INLINE fuel pump, i wont neccesarily need to upgrade the injectors, and use a FMU...

and with the INTANK fuel pump, I will have to upgrade the injectors and use a standalone?...

Any input is appreciated

Im looking to get the walbro brand

What? No.. Fmu are 10 years ago tech.. Just do it correctly and get injectors and a s300
true. what above your talking about is psi to the injectors that is what the pump does so you can 500 psi in the gas lines but its still going to be restricted by how big your injectors are. and just get the 255 in tank much cleaner and simpel bolt on

Avoid the inline pump, install the right sized injectors and use proper engine management.

The headache with an inline pump is if it dies it will restrict the in tank pump just enough to starve your engine and lean it out (which burns things up and make it knock like crazy) but not stop the car from running.

okay thanks guys... (I thought no one would respond)
But I've done research and learned alot about fuel management
I've decided to get injectors dsm 450cc and get the s300. I believe that should be good enough for my goals

Will I need a restrictor box for upgrading the injectors? or will the s300 take care of that?

No idea about the resistor box but if you get a good deal on the injectors then do it but if not buy 800 cc ones so your power is endless

I believe you'll need a box, basically running low impedance injectors on an ECU designed for high impedance can fry the ECU... What do the dsm 450cc's run cost wise anyway? There's other high impedance options out there.

you dont even need an S300. Crome is free and works fine as well. People here seem to think an S300 is the only and best option, but I assure you there are several EMS's out there that will do what you want for less. Dont get me wrong, S300 is great, but at $600 I doubt that most people will use it to its maximum potential.

s300 is only 495, and you can install it your self if your good with electronics, I know the guy here does it for cheap just cause he likes to do them... like 50 bucks to free depending how well you know him.... Im not a fan of crome but the biggest thing to do is find a tuner and see what he will tune with. There will probley be a debate on whats a better system, but your tuner will be who tells you what he can tune with.

well here are one of my local tuners rates:

Hondata S100/S200------------------$475
Hondata S300------------------------$425
Kpro---------------------------------$525
Flashpro-----------------------------$500
AEM Tuner/Pro EMS------------------$550*
AEM FIC-----------------------------$500
Hydra EMS---------------------------$550*
ECU Flash---------------------------$425*
DSMLink-----------------------------$425*
Power FC ----------------------------$475*
UPRev-------------------------------$550
MicroTech---------------------------$450
FAST--------------------------------$550
Accel DFI ----------------------------$475

I dont see Chrome listed in here?... (or maybe im missing it?)
But are these rates fair enough?
Im new to turbo's so I just want to follow very dependable (and cost efficient) route!

When I ever ask about EMU's, all I here is s300 s300 s300 ... So if someOne wouldnt mind, tell me about something else (cheaper) that will satisfy my every need.

Dont get me wrong, S300 is great, but at $600 I doubt that most people will use it to its maximum potential.
And just like AlexD said, I dont think I will use all the functions of the s300 to the max....

S300 is the best... Neptune RTP are just about the only thing I would use but thats just me... To be able to have real time maps is something you have to pay for. I just like the options S300 has but If crome isnt on his list im sure he dosent like it... alot of tunners in my area wont tune anything but S300 but there are a few that will do Neptune but not alot.
